Guberniev offered Zagitova himself as a punching bag
Match TV commentator Dmitry Guberniev Telegram channel turned to figure skater Alina Zagitova, who is expected to soon hold an exhibition boxing match.
– He offered Alina Zagitova his candidacy as a punching bag! A sort of sparring at the Moscow Sports Day! Let him remember Zagitov’s past and beat the unfortunate commentator like a pear,” wrote Guberniev.
Earlier, RIA Novosti Sport reported that Zagitova will enter the ring with boxer Albert Batyrgaziev. The fight will take place on June 25 at Luzhniki as part of the Moscow Sports Day, organized by the Moscow Sports Department. But later, in a comment to Match TV, the coach of the Olympic champion Eduard Kravtsov denied this information, explaining that Albert had an old injury and there would be no sparring or open training.
Batyrgaziev is 23 years old, he became the Olympic champion in weight up to 57 kg at the Tokyo Games. 20-year-old Zagitova won the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang.
