Anthony Joshua: Usyk kicked my ass in the first fight. I confess”
The first press conference was held as part of the promotion of the Oleksandr Usyk – Anthony Joshua fight, which will be held in Saudi Arabia on August 20.
The Briton admitted that in the first war he rightfully lost to the Ukrainians.
“Usyk kicked my ass in separate rounds, but I’ve managed to admit this defeat with dignity. And I’m ready to admit my mistakes. And in September he was better and I was worse. Now I need to turn that around. Sometimes I think you need to be easier in the ring. Now I’m actively working in the training camp.”
“You have to give credit to your opponent. When I see that someone is better than me, I am ready to confess. Seeing Usyk stronger than me that day motivates me. Or stronger than me in some components. It motivates me to be better.”
“And I’m sure we’ll have a show for the fans on August 20,” Joshua said.
Boxers had time to duel.
