Joyce waits for her chance by boxing Hammer. This fight will be a knockout
Joseph Joyce will have another fight against an opponent who poses no great danger to the boxer himself. Joe’s career is currently one of the richest heavyweights of all near-championship agents, but he has yet to reach the belt.
It looks like this meeting could be the first in the rating and the last before Oleksandr Usyk is recognized as an official contender for one of the titles held.
Joyce will meet Hammer. They know him but the Englishman must break him up quickly.
Joseph Joyce’s professional career is when an athlete never thought about whom to go for. At the same time, it cannot be said that one of his colleagues is a real threat.
Debuting a year later in 2017, Joe met his first serious colleague, Iago Kiladze. He’s a Georgian big guy, talented enough and punchy, but nothing helped. Already in the second round Joyce knocked out the opponent, and in the fifth round it was all over.
Other interesting encounters were: Bermain Stivern (technical knockout in the sixth round), Alexander Ustinov (technical knockout in the third round), Bryant Jennings (unanimous victory), Michael Wallisch (technical knockout in the third round), Daniel Dubois (knout in the tenth round and the opponent’s a broken orbital bone) and Carlos Takam (technical knockout in the sixth round). And all these victories in a row.
Not to say that any of these names blew fans away, but overall the resume is extremely solid. Joe most confidently and clearly won the right to be called a contender for the title, although he still has not received this title. At the same time, the same Dubois is actually already a “regular” world champion, and Joseph is still waiting.
The most interesting thing about it is the attitude towards Joyce. Although the man is already 36 years old, he is still considered a hope for many fans and experts – if this is not the last part of his career, then he is very close to it.
Joe is up for a title challenge, but won’t enter until Usyk and Joshua close all questions. It is not yet known on what terms the second contract was signed, but there seems to be no revenge clause in it, so Alexander and Anthony have a chance to limit themselves to two confrontations. At least in the near future.
But that doesn’t close all questions for Joyce. After this fight, Fury will claim the winner – the probability is almost one hundred percent. Tyson is still that character. He’s talking about five hundred million and his pension. But the great battle against Joshua will not be missed under any circumstances. In the event of a victory Usyka will think, but it would not be in the style of the Gypsy King to refuse a real chance to be absolute.
Meanwhile, Joyce will just wait and time will run out. There is hope that the boxer will be given the same Dubois-style title and at least a chance for a fight against someone stronger. Overall, the average, non-champion heavyweight rank is now pretty much the same, so the fights will be just as interesting.
Who is your favorite in the fight against Hammer?
Christian doesn’t stand a chance – judging by both the punters’ opinions and logic. On average, you can bet on Joyce’s 1.02 victory – that is, it is better not to bet. Hammer is rated 11. If we see a miracle, it could be the loudest sadness of the year.
But don’t expect a miracle. You should expect a bright and fairly quick hit. Hammer is a man who somehow surpasses everyone who is close to the top. And he lost to everyone. In just the last few years, Luis Ortiz, Tony Yoka, Hughie Fury and Frank Sanchez have won. At the same time, only Tyson’s brother – ahead of schedule.
But trusting Joyce to suffocate the entire fight is a great deal of faith in Hammer. Joseph has been on the move lately. His speed, physical strength and stamina are not surprising. If the Briton does not take the skills, he will only take them by force. He is broken, smashed, broken.
So the same happened with Dubois – a young boxer who had to beat such an opponent. Partly it was. Daniel looked good in boxing, but failed to score two points: that the opponent did not break and that he hit hard in response. As a result, the face and physical preparation of the young boxer failed to face the older one.
Hammer is a good competitor not to lose heart and wait for the result of the Saudi Arabian money showdown. But not anymore. Joyce needs to go up to rivals, where it will be interesting to watch her. There are so many options and I would love to see them after Christian.
For example, Dillian Whyte. Already broken, but still a strong competitor. Or Deontay Wilder – generally super. But an American is unlikely to take such risks soon after returning. Derek Chisora is always fun, but Joyce’s strength could ruin Brit’s last chance to pursue her career.
There is someone who will box in heavyweight. It’s time to let go of these rivals you know and move on to those who can truly fight.
Joe Joyce – Christian Hammer will be played on July 2 in London. The fight will temporarily start at 23:30 Kyiv time.

INOUE: “I’m tired. I had to prepare very hard for these 4 matches in a year.”
Japanese boxer after fight in Riyadh Naoya Inoue He shared his impressions of his victory over Mexican David Picasso (119–109, 120–108, 117–111):
“Honestly, I’m tired. The point wasn’t that I had four fights a year, it was that I had to prepare very hard for each of those four fights. When you’re in this process, you tolerate it because you only think about the fight, but now that it’s over, I see that I definitely gave it everything I had.”
“I don’t want to disrespect Picasso, but I wanted to show the difference between us a little more clearly and knock him out. I couldn’t meet the expectations and I couldn’t box the way I wanted. Nothing has been decided yet, but I would be happy to organize a fight that will excite the whole of Japan.”
Japanese Junto Nakatani He talked about his victory over Sebastian Hernandez (118-110, 115-113, 115-113):
“This fight was an experience for me. I moved up to this weight class to win a championship, so if I get that chance, I want to take it.”
