Fury’s Ex-Coach Believes Joshua Can Beat Usyk In A Rematch
Ben DavisonFormer head coach of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is confident that Anthony Joshua can beat Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch.
“I’m sure Joshua can beat Usyk. I thought he would win the first fight. However, I assumed Joshua would approach the fight the wrong way, so he did. But I still think Usyk has to go a long way. I thought Joshua would eventually catch him by trapping his hind leg.
I think Joshua will make some changes. Of course, this is a tough fight. Oleksandr Usyk is an outstanding heavyweight and for the huge heavyweights out there right now, his traps are hard to come by. So Anthony will have to get over some hurdles, but I’m sure he’s been working with Robert Garcia, Angel Hernandez and the rest of the team to deal with that,” he said.
The rematch will be played by Oleksandr Usyk – Anthony Joshua on 20 August in Jeddah. In the first fight, the Ukrainian confidently scored.
