Fake news infuriated Alexander.

Alexander Emelianenko has been pleasing Russian fans for almost twenty years with spectacular performances in various MMA promotions. Let the athlete not win in every fight, but the show always provides the audience.

For various reasons, Alexander’s career was repeatedly interrupted. Sometimes the forced reason for downtime was problems with the law, and sometimes the fighter took a break for medical reasons. Recently, the athlete has been systematically preparing for the long-awaited duel with Vyacheslav Datsik.

But the day before, sensational news thundered in the media. Alexander allegedly announced his retirement due to health problems two days before the coveted fight.

Emelianenko urgently had to explain himself to the fans.

Will there be a long-awaited fight?

The confrontation between Alexander Emelianenko and Vyacheslav Datsik has been considered one of the most anticipated in Russia for many years. But all this time it was not possible to organize a duel due to various reasons.

Things got off the ground on May 10 of this, when Emelianenko and Datsik signed a contract for a fight according to the rules of boxing. After that, the athletes began to prepare for the fight, regularly sharing their achievements with the audience.

But at the end of May, it became really scary for the future duel between Alexander and Datsik. Footage of the athlete appeared on the network, in which he hardly moved and spoke indistinctly. Emelianenko’s face was also “decorated” with new scars. As it turned out later, another spree of a fighter seriously undermined his health.

To restore the conditions, the athlete went to Yekaterinburg, to a specialized medical center, where he was supposed to conduct the first stage of preparation for the fight. In a short time, Emelianenko has made great progress.

Literally before the eyes of subscribers, he got rid of the consequences of an unhealthy lifestyle. Alexander regularly posted video messages to the fans, where he showed the current form, and also shared the details of the training process.

“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to perform anymore”

Until the beginning of August, nothing foreshadowed trouble. The fight was just under two months away. Emelianenko prepared according to the developed plan. But unexpectedly, an appeal from the athlete appeared in the account with his name on VKontakte:

— Dear fans, I want to thank you for your support, for supporting me despite everything that was said about me. Unfortunately, I will no longer be able to compete in the ring due to health problems caused by old injuries, – it was reported in a post published on behalf of the fighter.

Many media, linking the latest events in Emelianenko’s life with the message that appeared, hurried to send him into retirement. The athlete himself, who published a video message shortly after, fueled interest in the information.

– Here on the Internet there was information that I was ending my career. Tomorrow on my Youtube channel I will tell you everything about this in detail, – said the fighter.

Less than a day later, Emelianenko posted the promised video on his new channel. In it, the athlete, embracing a pear, while in the gym, harshly answered all the publications that published news about the end of his career.

Hello, hello, good people! Here, morons in the face of the media released information, while others, without checking its authenticity, reprinted it. The entire Internet is now crammed with the fact that I ended my career, allegedly with some old injuries. All this is a lie and a provocation. This is all the yellow press prints in order to raise its rating. The media that printed this are icteric publications. Pay no attention to them. I have verified social media accounts with a check mark — clarified sportsman.

The published appeal on behalf of Emelianenko was made from an unverified account that periodically posted old news about the fighter. As it turned out later, the words posted on VKontakte really belonged to Alexander, but they were said in 2012, when the athlete was about to end his career, but later changed his mind.
