Competition partner Joshua talks about Usyk’s main advantage in the rematch
Richard RiakporeAnthony Joshua’s sparring partner talked about what the Briton’s real problem was before his comeback fight with WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
“Usyk is a tough test. I believe he is technically one of the most skilled fighters in the world. Usyk is not only technically skilled, but also mentally ready for battle. This is the worst combination, because you usually have one and he or she has both, which doubles your problems. That’s why AJ knows he has to give his best performance.
In Joshua’s case, it would be something special to come back and become a three-time world champion. Three-time combined heavyweight champions are rare. That’s great and should focus on it. I believe he will achieve this,” he said.
The rematch will be played by Oleksandr Usyk – Anthony Joshua on August 20 in Jeddah. In the first fight, the Ukrainian confidently scored.
