David Haye: Joshua will have a better chance this time
Former world champion David Haye shared his thoughts on the rematch between WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs).
“Like last time, I bet on Joshua. He didn’t box in the first fight as I expected him to. But I still think he’ll have a better chance this time. Just then, he chose the worst tactic he could against a southpaw. He let him determine the distance and speed. treated him with respect while working at close range.
The referee gave him no warning. I think Anthony watched the fight and understood exactly what he should have done differently. It has a great team. It will be a real dog fight from the start gong. To win, he must be constantly on the edge of a penalty.
Unlike other heavyweight fighters. He is physically the strongest. He needs to integrate this into his own style. He really needs it now,” Haye said.
