I have a positive attitude towards women’s hockey. At the Beijing Olympics, I was at women’s hockey matches, it is very beautiful, feminine.
I follow rhythmic, artistic gymnastics, I will watch synchronized swimming, I liked it, hockey. I don’t watch boxing yet, but I’m doing it,” Zagitova said on air, which was broadcast by the Sochi hockey club channel on YouTube.
As it became known earlier, the 20-year-old athlete began boxing training. At the end of June, she held a demonstration training session with two-time Olympic boxing champion Oleg Saitov.
— I am impressed to box with a professional, he gave me parting words, I learned something new about boxing, this is an interesting experiment. One of the main tasks is to throw out emotions, ”said the skater.
According to Zagitova, she relates to hockey fights “not very much, but it looks spectacular and is an integral part of the game.”
