The President of Dynamo Makhachkala, Gadzhi Gadzhiev, believes that the results of Khimki will depend not only on the appointment of Spartak Gogniyev as head coach of the Moscow Region team.
Khimki announced the appointment of Gogniev on Friday. The agreement with the specialist is valid until the end of the 2023/24 season with the possibility of extension.
– It is impossible to rely only on the arrival of Spartak Gogniev as a coach. The result depends on the mentor, but not 100%. It is also very important how the club is managed. We see this in the example of Khimki. Therefore, one cannot say: “Gogniev was appointed, now everything will be great,” RT Gadzhiev quotes.
Gogniev began his coaching career in 2019, heading Alania Vladikavkaz, which is playing in the MELBET First League this season.
After seven rounds of the WORLD RPL, Khimki has seven points and is 11th in the standings.

Discussion of a possible tightening of the limit for foreign players in the Russian Premier League (RPL) is not finished yet. The president of the Russian Football Federation told journalists this (RFU) Alexander Diukov.
The Ministry of Sports proposes to tighten the limit for foreign players by 2028 according to the “10 foreign players in the application, 5 on the field” scheme.
“The Ministry gave the football community, experts and specialists the opportunity to talk openly about this issue. As far as I understand, the discussion process continues,” Dyukov said.
According to the current limit, clubs RPL can include 13 foreign players in the application and release 8 foreign players on the field. In September, the Russian Football Federation said that the current limit allows for the first time to increase the playing time of young players to 18%.
