“Dzagoev could play at the RPL level, but health has always been a limiting factor” – Gadzhiev

The president of Dynamo Makhachkala, Gadzhi Gadzhiev, believes that midfielder Alan Dzagoev could still play in the Russian Premier League (RPL), but health was a limiting factor.
Dzagoev left CSKA Moscow in May, for which he had played since 2008. On Friday, the 32-year-old football player signed a contract with Rubin Kazan, playing in the First League, until the end of the current season.
– I think Dzagoev could play at the RPL level. But to speak unequivocally, you need to understand what physical state he is in. For him, the only limiting factor has always been health. Perhaps the decision to move to Rubin is really connected with the figure of Leonid Slutsky. They developed a good relationship – they worked together in CSKA, the Russian national team, – quotes Gadzhiev RT.
Rubin left the RPL at the end of the 2021/22 season. The Kazan club is fifth in the MELBET First League table with 12 points in seven rounds.
