In the match of the eighth round of the First League, the capital’s Rodina hosted Krasnodar-2. The rivals were located side by side in the standings, which added intrigue to this confrontation, devoid of any significant historical background. But the “Best League in the World” has recently attracted fans not with age-old rivalries, but with crazy goals, which sometimes overshadow the masterpieces of not only the RPL, but also the European championships.

The meeting in Moscow was not without just such an episode, which would adorn a selection of the best moments of the tour in any football championship on the planet. At the 87th minute of the match, when Rodina were losing with a score of 0:2, the 21-year-old pupil of Krasnodar, Igor Andreev, decided to take over the game, whom the coaching staff entrusted to enter the field only in the second half.

Mikhail Maltsev helped to build a moment for a teammate by performing an accurate pitch to Igor. At the time of the pass, the defender of the Krasnodar team was next to the Rodina forward, who was supposed to prevent the opponent from hitting … But the player, apparently, did not want to deprive the fans of the aesthetic pleasure that Andreev gave them a second later.

Igor shot through himself, hitting the near corner of the former team’s goal. Goalkeeper Mikhail Shtepa, it would seem, guarded this zone, but he was not ready for such a turn of events. The goalkeeper’s late jump did not save the team from the goal: the player managed to react by hitting the ball with his hand, but could not knock it out. Andreev’s kick just stunned Shtepa!

For the second match in a row, Rodina scores with blows in a fall through itself – in the last round, Ivan Timoshenko scored in a similar manner, hitting the gates of SKA-Khabarovsk. But, as in the previous game, the Moscow club was again left without a victory and without points.
