Egor Baburin has lost the confidence of the Rostov coaching staff – the goalkeeper wanders around on loan, but does not leave attempts to prove that he was not appreciated on his merits. In the next match, the 29-year-old football player had every chance to refute the erroneous opinion about his abilities. He did not allow the Rostovites to hit the Torpedo gate for the entire match, and in stoppage time he repelled two penalties.

On the third attempt, he still capitulated.

The match “Torpedo” and “Rostov” in Khimki completed the program of the eighth round of the Russian Football Championship. Valery Karpin’s team needed a victory in order not to fall out of the ranks of the Zenit pursuers. Avtozavodtsy wanted to score at least some points in order to push off from the bottom of the standings.

By the end of the match, a picture emerged in which the Torpedo team were very close to their goals. The Moscow team, having collected nine yellow cards during the meeting, had a real chance to cling to points in the next round. Despite the clear advantage of the Rostovites in terms of the number of shots, the Arena Khimki scoreboard showed zeros by the end of the second added minute. Largely due to the brilliant game of goalkeeper Yegor Baburin, who did not want to miss from the team that sends him on loan.

It seemed that nothing could spoil the holiday for the Torpedo fans. However, the referee called the “standard” from a rather unpleasant point. The submission did not reach the addressee, which could have been Nikolai Komlichenko. The forward could not stand the fight and fell to the lawn. Since the fight was outside the rules, the referee Yan Bobrovsky pointed to the spot.

The victim decided to recuse himself from the execution of the “standard”, Yegor Golenkov, who scored from the penalty spot in the Cup, went to the point. He failed to beat the namesake – Baburin emerged victorious from this duel. But it was too early for the goalkeeper to rejoice, the referee asked the Rostovites to kill the penalty spot, noticing a false start from the torpedo player.

Komlichenko undertook to correct the situation, since Golenkov did not succeed with the first attempt. But the goalkeeper coped with the blow of Nikolai. Perhaps, in those seconds, the leadership of Rostov wondered why they had given Baburin on loan. However, he did not have to philosophize for a long time – Bobrovsky demanded to deliver a third blow to the Torpedo goal, Egor hurried again at the last frontier. This time, Maxim Osipenko took responsibility, who left no hope for his former teammate.
