Qatar lifts mandatory quarantine for unvaccinated coronavirus ahead of World Cup
The Qatar Ministry of Health has eased sanitary requirements to combat the coronavirus pandemic ahead of the World Cup.
According to the agency’s website, from September 4, mandatory quarantine for tourists arriving in the country is canceled, with the exception of those who have passed a positive PCR test. Previously, travelers who were not vaccinated with the country-approved vaccine were required to undergo a week-long quarantine in special hotels. Local residents were allowed to do it at home.
Regardless of the availability of vaccination, every visitor to Qatar is required to undergo PCR testing before and after arrival in the country.
Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup from November 20 to December 18, 2022.
