While Russian clubs are sitting without international cups, Stanislav Cherchesov enjoys great European football. On the eve of his Ferencvaros hosted Trabzonspor in the group stage of the Europa League. The match, which, according to the sign, did not in any way pull on the status of the central one, suddenly turned into a real thriller.

Already at the very beginning, the owners were in the minority, and it seemed that nothing good would shine for them. However, the Hungarian club surprised: with ten men, Ferencváros not only kept the winning score, but also developed an advantage. Fans of the team generally believe that this is the merit of the coach.

The match started for Ferencváros in the best possible way. Already in the 5th minute, Tokmak Nguyen completed a chic pass from Balint Vechei from the depth of the field, perfectly adjusting to the flying ball. The hosts led, but their joy did not last long. In less than 15 minutes, the Hungarians ran into a fast attack. Nguyen brought one on one Adam Traore with a cutting pass, and he easily transferred the Trabzonspor goalkeeper. 2:0 – and the stadium rages with happiness.

Through the efforts of Maxi Gomez, the Turks won back one ball, but Ferencvaros managed to regain the advantage of two goals in the first half. Trabzon received a penalty for handball. To beat the penalty, of course, Nguyen went. At the end of the meeting, Ferencváros had a hard time. “Trabzon” played one ball, and then could even equalize the score, but the referees intervened. Yusuf Yazici’s goal in the last minutes was canceled due to offside. Cherchesov and his guys had to be very nervous, but in the end they managed and survived.

The feat of “Ferencváros” caused a very strong reaction on social networks. A large portion of enthusiasm went to including Cherchesov. When the Russian specialist flew past the Champions League, many wrote nasty things about him, but now all this is forgotten. Ferencváros won a brilliant victory and has been winning for four matches in a row.
