“A machine that breaks through.” Cherchesov idolized after a strong-willed victory in the European Cup

His Ferencvaros defeated the Turkish champion in the minority.

While Russian clubs are sitting without international cups, Stanislav Cherchesov enjoys great European football. On the eve of his Ferencvaros hosted Trabzonspor in the group stage of the Europa League. The match, which, according to the sign, did not in any way pull on the status of the central one, suddenly turned into a real thriller.

Already at the very beginning, the owners were in the minority, and it seemed that nothing good would shine for them. However, the Hungarian club surprised: with ten men, Ferencváros not only kept the winning score, but also developed an advantage. Fans of the team generally believe that this is the merit of the coach.

Cherchesov is literally idolized after a strong-willed victory!

The detachment did not notice the loss

The match started for Ferencváros in the best possible way. Already in the 5th minute, Tokmak Nguyen completed a chic pass from Balint Vechei from the depth of the field, perfectly adjusting to the flying ball. The hosts led, but their joy did not last long. Just 10 minutes later, left-back Eldan Civic played with open spikes in the leg of the opponent and was immediately sent to the dressing room. Cherchesov’s team remained in the minority.

Only now no one especially noticed the loss of a fighter. Instead of forward Frank Boli, defender Endre Botka came out, but it cannot be said that Ferencvaros went into deep defense. In less than 15 minutes, the Hungarians ran into a fast attack. Nguyen brought one on one Adam Traore with a cutting pass, and he easily transferred the Trabzonspor goalkeeper. 2:0 – and the stadium rages with happiness.

Through the efforts of Maxi Gomez, the Turks won back one ball, but Ferencvaros managed to regain the advantage of two goals in the first half. Trabzon received a penalty for handball. To beat the penalty, of course, Nguyen went. As a result, the Norwegian easily spread the ball and the goalkeeper in different angles and became the undisputed hero of the first half and the entire match. 2 + 1 – the guy wears a “ten” on his back for a reason!

At the end of the meeting, Ferencváros had a hard time. “Trabzon” played one ball, and then could even equalize the score, but the referees intervened. Yusuf Yazici’s goal in the last minutes was canceled due to offside. Cherchesov and his guys had to be very nervous, but in the end they managed and survived.

Fans are delighted

The feat of “Ferencváros” caused a very strong reaction on social networks. A large portion of enthusiasm went to including Cherchesov. When the Russian specialist flew past the Champions League, many wrote nasty things about him, but now all this is forgotten. Ferencváros won a brilliant victory and has been winning for four matches in a row.

“The legend of Russia Stanislav Cherchesov taught a lesson to Abdulla Avdzhi,” writes ᴡᴏɴᴅᴇʀᴍᴇɪɴᴊᴋ.

– Cherchesov is a thousand times cooler than Avji in terms of coaching. You were spanked in the minority! Jhu echoes him.

– Did you think that you could beat the team of the great Cherchesov, brought up by Lev Yashin? – the happy Corentin shows his ignorance in matters of Soviet football.

Most fans are sure that Cherchesov’s character was the key to victory. The Russian coach is reputed to be a strong-willed person who knows a lot about motivation and knows how to mobilize the internal resources of the team at the right time.

“Cherchesov is a wise mentor,” admits Yiğit Can Ertunç, who obviously supported Trabzonspor.

“Where this man is, there is always a result,” applauds the Russian Sean #Drawnley.

“Cherchesov is a machine that breaks through,” Fehmi Tur metaphorically notes.

“The most charismatic Ferencváros coach in history,” concludes Kosovali.

Cherchesov has an even more interesting meeting ahead of him. His Ferencvaros will have to leave for Monaco, where the former coach of the Russian national team will cross with Alexander Golovin. However, for now, the specialist, together with his players, is preparing for the Hungarian championship match against the Varda club, which is in second place and only one point behind.

The RFU thanked the Ministry of Sport for the dialogue on the limit for foreign players

Russian Football Federation (RFU) grateful to the Ministry of Sports RF for dialogue on the limit on foreign players. The Secretary General spoke about it in an interview RFU Maxim Mitrofanov.

The Ministry of Sports proposes to tighten the limit for foreign players by 2028 according to the “10 foreign players in the application, 5 on the field” scheme.

“The dialogue is ongoing and the Ministry must be thanked for this,” Mitrofanov said. — Formally, the ministry is not obliged to do so, since it is within its powers to change the limit for foreign players. But it’s important to understand the goal. A limit is one of the tools needed for something. The restriction on the use of players who are not eligible to play for the national team is necessary to stimulate our system of training a sports reserve. In order for everyone to pay attention to this, invest efforts and resources. But, probably, only an integrated approach will work, which takes into account both efforts in the development of the reserve training system, and the creation of conditions to protect our players from unfair competition from players trained by other federations.”

“We note that today the share of foreign players in RPL and the Football National League (FNL) does not exceed 2.5%, plus approximately 2% are players from countries with which we have special agreements: Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. These players are not legally legionaries. That is, the maximum is about 5% of all football players. The percentage of playing time for foreigners is now the same as when it was under the strictest limit, which assumed no more than six foreigners on the field. Both then and now – about 40%. At the same time, the percentage of time dedicated to gaming among young Russians is growing: about 18% of the time RPL players under 23 receive. The number of these players in the national team is growing. Over the course of three years, 26 young footballers made their debut there; they don’t take the field occasionally, but practice thoroughly,” added Mitrofanov.

According to the current limit, clubs RPL can include 13 foreign players in the application and release 8 foreign players on the field. In September, the Russian Football Federation said that the current limit allows for the first time to increase the playing time of young players to 18%.

    On the popularity of football

Mitrofanov noted the growing popularity of football. “The popularity of football is growing, the average attendance is also growing, despite football being the only sport where you need a fan card to enter the stadium,” he said. — To some this may seem like an administrative obstacle, but now more than 3.5 million Russians have been issued a fan card. Football is the only sport that can provide 100% accurate data on the number of fans attending matches. Average attendance went from 12.5 thousand to over 14 thousand. This suggests we are approaching record levels for the 2018/19 season.”

“Look at the rankings, which say that we have no more watched and watched sporting events than the matches of the Russian national team, the national championship and the national cup. There are certainly matches of the Champions League, world and European championships, which are competitive and even superior in terms of performance, because they are flagship events. But when compared to other sports, even taking into account foreign competitions, there is nothing higher than football in terms of viewership,” the Secretary General added. RFU.

Mitrofanov noted the correct work RFU for the development of football. “Collectively, this shows that we are moving in the right direction: developing youth and investing in football reserves. It is important that even at a meeting of representatives of the association of national football coaches, they said that there may be different interpretations of the limit in terms of demands, but there should be no limit on the field, because a coach is not a mathematician to calculate how many foreign players he currently has on the field, whether he can replace a foreigner or just a Russian player. There are restrictions in both hockey. and basketball, but there are none when it comes to stay on the field. In principle, healthy competition in sport, including internal competition, is beneficial,” he concluded.
