Igor Cherevchenko refused the post of head coach in the Voronezh Fakel. The club continues to search for a specialist for this position, RB Sport reports.
On Tuesday, Fakel announced the resignation of Oleg Vasilenko from the position of head coach of the team. The 48-year-old specialist led Voronezh in September 2020 and led the club to the top division of the Russian championship for the first time in 21 years.
Cherevchenko previously worked in Khimki near Moscow, Arsenal Tula, Lokomotiv Moscow and Baltika Kaliningrad.
In the next round of the WORLD RPL, Fakel, which scored four points in eight matches, will host Lokomotiv Moscow on September 11.
