Athletic workhorses and door cars.
In the second month of the new season of the Russian Premier League, there were many bright segments: the fall of Lokomotiv into the abyss, the impudence of Pari NN with the Moscow clubs, an unexpected hat-trick of Ivan Ignatiev. We collect the top five players who broke this month.
Jorge Carrascal, CSKA
CSKA scores more in the league: 21 goals in 9 rounds. 5 of these goals were scored by Carrascal. To evaluate the impact on the game of “red-blue”, just remember the meeting with Zenit. Jorge did not unlock at the start due to damage and left with an eye to his goal. The result is an overwhelming advantage in the first half. In the second segment, Carrascal was released – the main danger immediately moved away from the gate CSKAthe “soldiers” switched to offensive actions
The “CSKA” under Fedotov is a well-oiled mechanism with a clear structure of pressure and transition to attack. In the last third, Carrascal shares episodes with Fedor Chalov and Jesus Medina. At the same time, it is the Colombian who takes control of the game at the right time. Aim to hit and look for free space for him, while not trying to completely pull the blanket: Jesus and Fedor also score. In a good way, their effectiveness should be considered jointly.
Aleksandr Sobolev, Spartak
A strong center forward has already adapted to the Abascal concept. Interestingly, Quincy Promes should be on this list, but such a choice would be obvious. No less changes are observed in Sobolev’s actions. “Spartak” Guillermo is trying to get away from the long range throw and the attacker’s fight for the ball. Just in such a scheme, Alexander showed himself well.
But now we see Sobolev’s turns on the flanks more often: he has switched to the role of dispatcher, more often he delivers the ball to the last third and shoots, which is particularly evident against Orenburg. Alex moves to the center instead of Alexander, the freedom in the performance allows Quincy to create masterpieces.
At the same time, Sobolev does not lose thinking. A goal for Zenit is a pleasure apart from reading the episode, the same can be said of the two assists with Orenburg. The Russian improves Spartak and, as expected, overtakes Shamar Nicholson. Sobolev is one of the most versatile players in current Spartak.
Luka Gagnidze, Dinamo
The talent of the Georgian manifested itself against the background of the disasters of the “white-blue” with the application. There is simply no one to play with instead of Luka – and there was a risk that by the age of 19 he would not have reached Premier League level. But the fears were not justified.
Even in his first matches this season, Gagnidze showed decent stats in the selection – at first it seemed like a normal wave. The midfielder, in fact, covered wide spaces on the pitch: he plowed in his own half, after intercepting he held the ball and kept possession. With a defeat, he almost put pressure on the opposing goalkeeper. This is not to mention the nominations under blow / transfer, violation of the rhythm of the opponent’s attack in the bud. Luca did an effective box-to-box job and it was interesting to follow him.
By the way, in September Gagnidze’s matches may begin to decline, after all, before he did not hold the level for a long distance. But in August, this is definitely one of the best hard-working midfielders.
Christian Noboa – Sochi
The Ecuadorian has a strange, albeit understandable, relationship with the management. The epic with the failed passage a CSKA so nothing is finished. Christian himself said openly that there was definitely an offer from the Red-Blues.
Surprisingly, the controversial comments don’t stop Noboa from continuing to show class. The midfielder has already scored 7 goals in 9 games. From the point of view of the game, Christian is doing well with the Sochi players: he has returned to the base and they trust important phases of the matches, the player responds with effective actions. In another club it is still not certain that Noboa would have received a seat at the base. Even with Fedotov, there is a difficulty in adapting. There is no need to invent a bicycle – while the Ecuadorian is in Sochi, he has the opportunity to play a lot and brilliantly and get enough (not to mention the weather).
Igor Akinfeev, CSKA
The doorman doesn’t seem to get old at all. First of all Igor is important to Fedotov as the leader of the locker room.
The goalkeeper himself speaks well of the mentor:
CSKA found my coach. Fedotov is a real man, a real coach. Now, in all the games we play, even if there are moments on the teeth, like in Samara, everyone can see that we are struggling and trying. Whether it works or not is another question. We understood each other from the first training session, we opened up to each other. And now we want to do something together on the same boat.
He is heard, so the union with the coach in such cases has a special effect. Akinfeev is one of the few left CSKA old, so that knowledge can be passed on to young people.
In terms of reliability, the statistics speak for themselves: 8 goals conceded in 9 rounds, the third result of the entire championship. Igor plays stably and makes no mistakes, and in August the goalkeeper played twice clean. For an experienced player, playing with a trio of center-backs proved to be an advantage: there are more recipients for close passes and less free space for the opponent.
