Expectations from Hamid Agalarov following the results of the last season were beyond the reach of many. In the summer, the RPL-2021/22 top scorer was promised a serious promotion: it seemed that a player of such talent simply could not leave the elite with Ufa. There were even rumors about the striker moving to Europe, but in reality no one was in a hurry to buy a football player. In the end, Agalarov only managed to keep his residence permit in the first division by signing a contract with Akhmat.

However, things are not going well for the forward in Grozny. In Ufa, Agalarov was a full-time penalty taker. Last season, the coach of the Bashkir team entrusted Hamid with a penalty kick six times, and the footballer never let him down. Throughout his career, the 22-year-old striker has shot from the point 13 times and during this time he made a mistake only once, when he was still playing for Volgar in the First League.

It is not surprising that in the match against PARI NN in the 9th round of the RPL, it was the Dagestan striker who got the right to take a penalty kick. After Lechi Sadulaev earned a foul in someone else’s penalty area, Hamid went to someone else’s goal with complete confidence that VAR would confirm the referee’s decision. After a couple of minutes, the referee completed negotiations with the assistants and blew the whistle, but the football player seems to have lost concentration during this time.

Agalarov took a short run and shot into the far left corner without any special tricks. Nikita Goylo was powerless: the goalkeeper guessed the direction of the ball, but failed to get it. During the execution of the penalty, Agalarov made a rare mistake – a double touch: breaking through the left, the footballer accidentally hit the ball with the right leg. According to the rules, such a goal cannot be counted – the referee quickly figured out the episode and appointed a free kick.

Talalaev usually does not forgive gross mistakes for players: take at least the story with the goalkeeper Shelia, whom the coach removed during the break after he conceded three goals from CSKA in the 6th round of the RPL. The specialist did not spare Agalarov either, replacing him immediately after the first half – Vladimir Ilyin had to play the rest of the meeting on the edge. Apparently, after this game, Hamid will again have to show himself on the substitutions: he missed his first chance to shine at the start.
