Roman Teryushkov, a member of the Khimki Supervisory Board, said that the main task of the club for the 2022/23 season is to maintain registration in the MIR RPL.
On Saturday, the Moscow Region club played a draw with Wings of the Soviets (0: 0) as part of the 9th round of the RPL. Previously, Khimki lost in four games in a row.
– It is very difficult to get into optimal shape in a week. The untrainedness that has been allowed over the past three and a half weeks is making itself felt. Today, Khimki had 64 percent possession of the ball. This is the ideology that Spartak Arturovich preaches. This is a strong, emotional, attacking philosophy.
What will Khimki fight for this season? Everything will depend on the spirit of the team. We have a spirited team. Just a functional failure and the wrong training process that was now making itself felt. I hope we will see Khimki, who will be able to fight for survival in the elite of Russian football. Our main task now is to stay in the RPL, Sport24 quotes Teryushkov.
Khimki is currently in 13th place in the RPL standings with 8 points.
