Lokomotiv Moscow was unable to crack the saturated defense of the Voronezh Fakel in the match of the ninth round of the Russian Football Championship, the capital team was unlucky, said the head coach of the railway workers Josef Zinnbauer.

How can this defeat be explained? It seemed that before the missed ball in stoppage time for the first half, everything was fine.

– It often happens when a team goes forward with all its might, creates chances for itself, does not always use them. At the end of the first half, we conceded a goal to the dressing room, because the opposing team played carefully and tried to use all their chances.

In the second half, we threw all our forces into the attack and went forward. Unfortunately, in the situation with the second conceded goal, they didn’t figure it out in the penalty area, positioned themselves incorrectly. After the break, we tried to level the situation. It is very difficult to play against a team that is almost at full strength in defense, but we had chances. To some extent, football luck turned away from us.

– Gabriel made his debut, how would you rate his game?

I liked the way Gabriel played. This is the type of player we need, he asks for the ball, he takes over the game, he boldly goes forward. Mario Mitai played in the same style. I want to remind you that Izidor, Artem Karpukas will leave the infirmary, this will increase the potential of the team and strengthen us.

– What is the reason for replacing Anton Miranchuk?

– I saw that he got hit on the leg, he began to limp, we decided to make a series of substitutions, I released (Konstantin) Maradishvili from the right, because we wanted to strengthen the right flank. It was an intermediate substitution that was supposed to help play more offensive football, especially on the right flank. When the opponent leads 2-0, it is always difficult to play, therefore, perhaps, in your opinion, we had fewer chances in the second half, – Zinnbaeur told Match TV.
