German coach Thomas Tuchel wrote a farewell letter after being sacked from London Chelsea.

The specialist, who has been in charge of the London club since January 2021, was sacked on September 7 after a 0-1 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in the first round of the Champions League group stage.

“This is one of the most difficult statements I have ever had to write, and I hoped that I would not need to do this for many years. I am devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end.

This is a club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally. I want to thank the staff, players and fans from the bottom of my heart for being so welcoming to me from the very beginning.

The pride and joy I felt when I won the Champions League and the Club World Cup with the team will stay with me forever. I am honored to be part of the history of this club and the memories of the past 19 months will always hold a special place in my heart,” Tuchel wrote on Twitter.

Tuchel won the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the 2021 Club World Cup with Chelsea. In the current season of the English Championship, Chelsea, under the leadership of Tuchel, scored 10 points after six rounds and is sixth in the standings.
