Rostov midfielder Khoren Bayramyan told how the head coach of the team Valery Karpin has changed after being appointed to the Russian national team.
– For me, it has changed. No matter how high the level of Valery Georgievich, the coach of the national team, Rostov, he always grows, works on himself. If you compare him before leaving for the national team and now, for me, he has become stronger as a coach.
This is expressed in the requirements, the game. When he came in 2017, we were more defensive. And it gave a certain result. Then there was a period when we rebuilt, when there were such players as Shomurodov, Eremenko, Popov, Norman. We played high pressure, vertical football, we pressed, we ran. Now, if you look at it, in almost all matches we had more possession of the ball than our opponents. He sets up such football so that the team is with the ball, attacking. I guess everyone sees it. Karpin does not stand still, with him Rostov shows different football. We try to do what he asks. It is obvious that Karpin is getting stronger as a coach, – Rossiyskaya Gazeta quoted Bairamyan as saying.
Rostov, after defeating Spartak (4:2), takes 3rd place in the WORLD RPL table, gaining 19 points.
