RPL clubs voted to extend the first part of the season by postponing matches of the Russian Cup group stage

Most of the MIR clubs of the Russian Premier League (RPL) voted to extend the first part of the season by holding the matches of the fifth and sixth rounds of the group stage of the RPL FONBET Cup of Russia after November 20 due to friendly matches of the Russian national team, the press service of the RPL reports.

The general meeting of RPL clubs was held on September 12.

– On the second question, most clubs supported the extension of the first part of the season by holding matches of the 5th-6th rounds of the Russian Cup (the RPL path) after November 20 in connection with two scheduled matches of the Russian national team, – the message says.

According to the calendar, the matches of the fifth and sixth rounds of the Russian Cup are scheduled for November 8–10 and 18–20, respectively.

Earlier, the Football Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that a friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held on November 19 in St. Petersburg. In November, the Russian team also plans to play with the Iranian team.
