Leipzig players lost away to Real Madrid in the match of the second round of the Champions League group stage.
The Group F game in Madrid ended with a 2-0 victory for the hosts. Goals scored by Federico Valverde (80th minute) and Marco Asensio (90+2).
Real Madrid scored six points and topped the standings of the quartet. Leipzig suffered a second defeat. In the first game, the German team lost at home to Shakhtar Donetsk with a score of 1:4, after which Domenico Tedesco was dismissed.
In a parallel match of group A, the Napoli players defeated the Scottish Rangers 3-0 on the road.
