Dmitry Khomukha considers criticism of Zenit coach Sergei Semak unfair

Former head coach of the Russian youth team Dmitry Khomukha spoke out in support of Sergei Semak.
— I am inspired by the examples of some colleagues. The first three places in the championship are occupied by Russian coaches – Semak, Fedotov, Karpin. They show that we are not only not inferior to foreigners, but in some ways even better prepared than they are. At the moment, our specialists in the RPL work better than coaches from Europe. Everyone says that in the place of Semak, anyone would become a four-time champion, but then where are Lucescu, Mancini and all the others who had the same opportunities? What did they achieve with Zenit? Nothing. Therefore, you need to appreciate your coaches.
– Why is Semak endlessly criticized?
– Because the club performed unsuccessfully at the European level. I consider this criticism indiscriminate. She has no basis. Again, remember Lucescu and Mancini. Both left without even winning the championship of Russia, – quotes the words of Khomukha “Championship”.
