Spartak General Director Yevgeny Melezhikov took responsibility for the situation with the disqualification of midfielder Keith Balde, a newcomer to the team.

Earlier it became known that Balde was suspended until December 5 by the National Anti-Doping Court of Italy for violating the doping control procedure while playing for Cagliari. His transfer to Spartak became known on August 26, the contract was signed for three years.

– In legal language, this is called the loss of control over the player. He was called for doping, but he was locked in the locker room. He should have gone straight to doping. The player and I have adjusted the whole situation. We supported the player, he suffered a serious punishment.

How did you react to the disqualification? Very painful. Blame the club and I personally as well. But it was difficult to foresee this situation. Agents should have notified. It’s a shame that the team and the coaching staff did not get the player they were counting on. Balde will also not take part in the World Cup, ”the Match TV website quotes Melezhikov as saying.

According to him, they learned about the situation with Balde in Spartak on September 7.
