Manchester United players got food poisoning after the LE match with Sheriff – media

Several Manchester United players have suffered food poisoning after a Europa League group stage match against Moldavian Sheriff, reports The Sun.
The meeting took place on Thursday in Chisinau and ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of the guests, after the game the team returned to England on a private plane. On Friday, some players and members of the delegation felt unwell, up to 12 people were injured. The club is trying to find out what caused the poisoning – poor-quality food in Chisinau or on the plane.
Individual players missed the team’s Friday and Saturday training sessions. Manchester United’s Premier League match against Leeds scheduled for Sunday has been postponed due to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
