Zorn said he plans to work out the contract with Lokomotiv until the end

Thomas Zorn said he had no plans to leave the post of sporting director of Moscow Lokomotiv ahead of schedule.

Zorn was appointed to the position in November last year. After 10 rounds of the WORLD RPL, the railway workers are in 12th place in the standings with nine points. Since the beginning of the season, German specialist Josef Zinnbauer has been the head coach of Lokomotiv.

I have a contract until 2024. I intend to work it out completely.

Will Zinnbauer be fired? Not ready to comment. Now, during the break for the matches of the national teams, we will sit down and calmly discuss everything.

What changes after the appointment of Zinnbauer? We have a different scheme, other tasks on the field. The team is being rebuilt on the go, having played three matches in 10 days. New game ideas are being actively introduced. We press less, try to control the ball more. More time is needed, Zorn told reporters.

According to him, the results that the team shows this season “do not suit us or the players.”

He also said that Lokomotiv is counting on striker Ivan Ignatiev, who joined the team in the offseason.

– We are satisfied with Ignatiev. There are no questions for him. It has an option to renew for another year. We will decide on this issue closer to next summer. So far, as he shows himself, I’m satisfied, ”said the sports director of the railway workers.

Zorn from May 2019 to July 2020 held the position of General Director of Spartak Moscow.
