The head coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin told how he learned about the decision of UEFA not to allow the team to participate in the European Championship 2024.

Earlier on Tuesday, the RFU announced that the national team will not take part in the draw for the EURO 2024 qualifying tournament. The final stage of the competition will be held in Germany.

– I learned the news that we were not allowed to the draw from about fifty unanswered calls. I knew right away that something had happened. For me, this is not unexpected.
