The head coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin admitted that he calmly reacted to the decision of the defender of the Moscow Dynamo Saba Sazonov to play for the national team of Georgia.
The Russian team holds a training camp in Novogorsk.
– I did not consider Sazonov in the main Russian team. I reacted absolutely calmly to the fact that he decided to change the national team. Without him, the team will be able to live in peace,” Karpin told reporters.
The coach noted that Sochi midfielder Kirill Kravtsov arrived at the location of the national team with a malaise, as did Spartak defender Georgy Jikia.
– Krivtsov arrived yesterday with an indisposition, dizziness. Maybe a virus, maybe poisoned. Jikia has problems with her knee, Karpin said.
On September 24, in Bishkek, the Russians will play a friendly match with the team of Kyrgyzstan.
