The Russian defender of the Moscow “Torpedo” Ilya Kutepov told how, after the 2018 FIFA World Cup, he could move to a European club, namely, the Italian Fiorentina.
– After the World Cup, he could go to Europe. There was an option with Fiorentina. I know that the clubs discussed the amount of the transfer, but it didn’t come down to personal terms. Spartak was more persistent in the issue of contract extension. With Fiorentina, everything dragged on for quite a long time, and Spartak was in a hurry to make a decision on the contract.
