The legend of the Moscow “Spartak” was fired from the club after 10 days of work
Former Spartak Moscow midfielder Maxim Kalinichenko has been dismissed from his post as the head coach of the Estonian Levadia, the club’s official website reports.
Kalinichenko, 43, was appointed to this post on 12 September. Under him, “Levadia” played one game, losing in the Estonian championship to “Kuressaare” with a score of 2:3.
– In recent days, we have talked a lot and consulted both with the players and with the coaches. After analyzing the whole situation, we came to the conclusion that in the current situation and such an environment, it will be extremely difficult for the team to achieve their goals. We wish Maksim success in the future, – said the president of “Levadia” Viktor Levada.
Nikita Andreev became acting head coach until the end of the season.
