The goalkeeper of St. Petersburg Zenit and the Russian national team, Mikhail Kerzhakov, expressed the opinion that the frequent change of head coach at Spartak is not good for the Moscow club.
In the off-season, the team was led by Spaniard Guillermo Abascal, who replaced Italian Paolo Vanoli.
– There was such a coaching leapfrog, how much have they changed over the past five years? And how many players? We are stable in this respect. This is a huge factor. Yes, a couple of players may leave, but this does not affect globally. And if you change several coaches per season, nothing good will come of it.
I like Abascal. I don’t know why they attacked him. But it’s hard to build a champion team all at once. Maybe if they give him a year or two, it will happen, ”Kerzhakov told the Championship.
After 10 rounds, Spartak is fifth with 19 points in the WORLD RPL standings.
