The match against the national team of Kyrgyzstan was supposed to be special for our national team. Returning to international football after an absence of almost a year is, whatever one may say, a holiday. However, in reality, the Russian team receives a solid negative in its address. And this is after the victory!

The team of Valery Karpin is literally ready to be razed to the ground. The main motive for the comments is that in the current situation, no one needs the national team and it’s better to disband it than to suffer with Kyrgyzstan.

The meeting with Kyrgyzstan ended in victory for the Russians, but no one enjoyed it. The game of our team brought melancholy. The players did not know what to do with the ball in attack, and in some moments the hosts looked even more attractive. In addition, the Russian team clearly showed a lack of motivation. Previously, it was impossible to reproach the team for this.

Even according to statistics, we did not outplay the Kyrgyz in anything. Unless they secured an advantage in possession of the ball, but this control rarely passed into dangerous moments. A strong-willed victory is good, but many were disappointed with what they saw.

Team not needed?

After the game, it became clear that no one is particularly interested in the national team now. And who cares, he spits, looking at her performance. In this context, some football figures are hinting that the national team could simply be disbanded.

But Alexander Mostovoy went even further. The legendary Tsar, apparently, has not yet got used to the peculiarities of the Media League, in which he trains the Fight Nights team, and forgot that a microphone is hanging on him. As a result, Mostovoy’s harsh words about the national team got into the broadcast of his team’s match with Vasily Utkin’s Egrisi.

– They started calling me after the game, and I said: “Yes, I didn’t watch the game, I wasn’t interested.” Why watch it if we were removed for three years? – quotes the words of Mostovoy Sports.ru.

There is some grain of truth in such reasoning. The national team is a product of international football, and in the absence of international competition, it simply loses its meaning of existence. However, this is not a very far-sighted position.

With an eye on the future

Now in the national team, maybe not too much sense. However, to dissolve it means to abandon the future. I would like to believe that sooner or later we will again be allowed to big tournaments – and then it is precisely the work that Valery Karpin’s headquarters is doing that will come to the fore.

– The national team must exist and be ready for the moment when it is allowed to participate in international competitions. And now we need to play a new generation – it will be important when we are returned to world football. Karpin is already letting the youth in — and rightly so. But you can see problems only through matches, so you need to continue to hold control meetings. If you give up on the national team, only God knows what it will turn into. Even the 10-month break had a significant impact on the team – and this is by no means a beneficial effect. Yes, watching friendly matches against opponents like Kyrgyzstan is not very interesting, but they are needed. And by releasing reserve players (including young ones), Karpin is not trying to sell them, as Selyuk put it. It lays the foundation for the future. And I want to believe that it will work.
