Defender of the German club Bayern Benjamin Pavard admitted that he had to overcome depression during the quarantine due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
— The pandemic came, and it was a very difficult period. On a personal level, it was not easy being alone in a country other than mine. Away from family and friends… At first you tell yourself that it’s okay, but when you see that the problem remains, that you go to training and nothing changes, you have to react. Even if I have a good house with a gym, I need to communicate with others, — quotes the words of the football player Le Parisien
In an interview, Pawar explained how he discovered the first symptoms of depression.
– I was not hungry. I tried to occupy myself with something, cooking, watching TV series, but the film was only good for you for two minutes … I don’t like the word depressive, but that’s how it was. Something was wrong in my life, but it made me grow as a man, I was left to my own devices. Few people know what I went through. You can earn a lot of money, but this does not mean that you are happy, Pavard concluded.
