Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed that he was not perceived as a high-scoring striker early in his career.
“I went through a lot of bad moments, not injuries. I was fine, but at the beginning of my career everyone only talked about me as a sprinter. Sometimes it hurts because you know where you’re from, you know you’ve been through a lot and you always try your best and some people, even from your club, say you’re not very good at football. And after I moved to Saint-Etienne, coach Christophe Galtier gave me confidence. It was there that I started scoring goals, – quotes the words of the player Mirror.
Aubameyang has scored 68 goals in 128 Premier League games.
