Former Zenit midfielder Alexander Kanishchev believes that it will be difficult for Spartak to take revenge on the St. Petersburg club in the cup match for a long streak without victories in head-to-head meetings.
The last time Spartak beat Zenit in official matches was in November 2017. This season, the Red-Whites lost to the Blue-White-Blues on September 4 in the eighth round of the WORLD of the Russian Premier League (RPL) (1:2), on July 9 – in the match for the Russian Super Cup (0:4).
