The RPL player made an offer to the girl right during the match. And touched even the judge!

Vladimir Sychevoi converted a penalty and went to ask his beloved for his hand in marriage. Amazing romance!

The match between Orenburg and Sochi did not initially promise big sensations. The team of Marcel Lichka approached the game with the southerners in the status of an outsider, in favor of which only the status of the owner of the field spoke: Orenburgers lost only once at home (2:4 against Krylia). Nevertheless, even after perestroika, the Sochi team were nominally superior to their rivals in the class, and should have taken the coveted three points from the Premier League newcomers.

However, in reality, things turned out differently. Fans from the first minutes drove “Orenburg” forward, and a modest team sensationally decided the outcome of the match by the end of the first half. The hero of the team, Vladimir Sychevoi, brought the matter to the rout, celebrating his goal in a very unexpected way. The player took advantage of the moment of fame to… propose to his girlfriend!

Even the judge did not dare to punish the football player for a romantic gesture. But he could have removed it!

Best Celebration of the Season

Vladimir Sychevoi proved himself already at the start of the season. The Russian unexpectedly became the first player to score a hat-trick in the current WORLD RPL campaign: on July 23, a then-little-known player actually destroyed Ural alone (0:3). However, it was not easy for the striker to keep the performance: in the rating of scorers, he was soon overtaken by foreign colleagues in the person of Promes, Wendel, Noboa and others.

However, by the end of the summer, Sychevoi began to gain momentum again. In the monthly period from August 28 to September 28, the striker scored four goals, scoring in RPL matches against Lokomotiv (1:5) and Khimki (3:1), as well as cup games with Akhmat (3:1) and Dynamo (2:2). In a word, Vladimir showed that it is not worth writing him down as one-day heroes.

However, Sychevoi put on a real show in the 11th round. The striker chalked up a productive action already in the 3rd minute of the meeting with Sochi, making an assist to Timur Ayupov. Shortly after that, Orenburg’s advantage was increased by Gabriel Florentin, and by the middle of the half the guests were in a very difficult position.

Wards of Garanin failed to break the game. In the 43rd minute, the Sochi defenders made two blunders at once: first, they made a shot near their own penalty area, and then they shot down Sychev right in the goalkeeper’s area. VAR helped the referee to determine the culprit: Moussa Sissako left the field with a red card, and the Orenburg forward got the right to shoot a penalty.

Vladimir performed the blow from the point as it should – and actually scored the decisive goal, bringing the score in the match to devastating (3-0 by the break). The football player decided to celebrate a successful half in an unusual way, after the goal he went to the fence separating the stands from the playing area – his beloved was waiting for Sychev next to him. The attacker approached his girlfriend, handed flowers, and then knelt down and took out a ring. The cameras captured the girl’s reaction: of course she was shocked!

Sychevy’s act seems to have taken the judge by surprise as well. Artyom Lyubimov could well have rewarded the romantic with a removal for this unauthorized action: by that time the player already had one yellow in the liability. Apparently, Vladimir’s romantic gesture impressed the referee so much that he did not verbalize and forgave the player for a minor violation.

This way of celebrating a goal can be safely called the brightest of the season – at least by the 11th round. The situation in the match, by the way, after the goal has not changed. In the second half, Orenburg still conceded, but ended the game with a three-goal difference: Jimmy Marin converted another penalty.

A goal and an assist from Sychevy helped the Orenburgers temporarily rise to 8th place in the standings, and the attacker himself returned to the top scorers, leveling with Malcolm and Dmitry Poloz.

Coach Noah: The club’s progress to the play-offs is a great achievement for Ukrainian football

Head coach Noah Sandro Perkovic commented on his team’s defeat against Dynamo (0:2) in the sixth round of the main round of the Conference League.

Our mentor exclaimed in front of his players about the club’s historic achievements:

“First of all, I would like to say a word of thanks to our Gravians and greet the team. For the first time in history, Noa reached the play-offs of the European Cup tournament. This is a great achievement not only for the club, but also for Ukrainian football. We are further collapsing,” Perkovich said.

Speaking of the match itself, the coach welcomed Dynamo to victory and expressed the high level of respect for the opponent:

“The team looked very solid in the beginning, caused a number of unsafe moments, but could not open the door. I said before the match that Dynamo is a great club. In matches with such teams, many mistakes can be made. Today they punished us for this,” said the mentor.

Perkovich emphasized that his team was not surprised by the defeat of the Kiev club:

“Dynamo has not suffered at all. This is a very good team, which clearly plays in defense and has a wide variety of tactical plans. Perhaps we did not realize that the stench is so fragrant from the first days of the century and blessed for the decade and in attack,” the coach added.

He also famously said that Noah wasted no energy for a positive outcome:

“We attacked, pressed, tried to earn as much as possible. So we could have played more than ten times under the hour from the opponent’s overhead passes, but I won’t say we played badly. Dynamo just showed very good football today,” Perkovich summarized.

In the group stage of the Conference League, Noah scored all points in six games and took 19th place. This result allowed the Virmen club to reach the 1/16 finals of the LK.
