An investigation into threats against former Chelsea director Marina Granovskaya is being carried out by the British police, reports The Times.
According to the publication, a well-known agent, whose name was not disclosed, sent emails to Granovskaya, demanding £300,000 from her as a commission for the transfer of one of the players and threatening her.
“I will make you pay. It’s not a threat. This is a promise. If the club does not pay, then you will pay, – this was the threat.
It is noted that Granovskaya at that time held a position at Chelsea.
A graduate of Moscow State University with honors who worked at Sibneft, formerly owned by Roman Abramovich, Granovskaya served as Chelsea director from 2014-22. Abramovich was the owner of Chelsea from 2003-2022.
