Rinat Bilyaletdinov – about Kvaratskhelia in Napoli: “I’m not surprised that he succeeds”
Midfielder Khvicha Kvaratskhelia shows a high-level game in Napoli, his quick adaptation to the Italian team did not come as a surprise, said former Rubin Kazan coach Rinat Bilyaletdinov.
Kvaratskhelia terminated the contract with Rubin at the end of March and played for Dynamo Batumi until the end of last season. In early July, the 21-year-old midfielder signed a contract with Napoli.
– Khvicha became the leader of Napoli. I had an assumption that he would need time to adapt, because he had a nondescript last season at Rubin. But he did a good job, managed to prove himself at a fairly high level, quickly fit into the team. It’s nice to watch him play.
Not surprised that he succeeds. Although if it didn’t work out, I wouldn’t be surprised either, because everyone adapts differently in the same team, Bilyaletdinov told the Championship.
Kvaratskhelia has made 11 appearances for Napoli this season, scoring six goals and making four assists.
