Sobolev boldly celebrated the winning goal in the RPL match. Our judges do not forgive this

Alexander scored against the former team and threw an unexpected challenge to the referees.

The match against Spartak ended with a big disappointment for the fans of Krylia Sovetov. Volzhane led in the long run, but in the end they lost devastatingly. Moreover, the duet of former Samara football players drowned the team of Igor Osinkin: the winning goal against Ivan Lomaev was organized by Zinkovsky and Sobolev.

To mark the goal scored, however, Alexander decided rather strangely. The striker unexpectedly challenged the judges, for which he can now seriously pay.

What was this miniature for?

virtual vandalism

The Sunday match between Spartak and Krylia Sovetov, which took place as part of the 12th round of the Russian Premier League, pleased football fans with a good harvest of goals. With the combined efforts of the team, they scored seven times – five goals on the account of the “red-whites”, two – on the account of the Volga residents. Quincy Promes and Alexander Sobolev were especially zealous in the attack – both Spartak players scored a double.

But if for Promes the match with the Samara team did not have any special background, then Sobolev went out to play against his former team. It was in Samara that Sasha revealed himself as a scorer at the Premier League level. As a thank you, the forward shipped two balls to Krylya Sovetov, which he did not hesitate to celebrate.

Especially offensive for the Samara fans turned out to be the second ball performed by Alexander. Firstly, he allowed Spartak to take the lead again in the long run, and in the end he completely became victorious. Secondly, a goal against the Volzhans was organized by a bunch of two former players from Krylya Sovetov. Anton Zinkovsky performed an excellent serve against Sobolev – the attacker just had to send the projectile right on target.

“Just two goals were not counted”

Sobolev not only rushed off to celebrate a goal against the former team, which is usually considered bad form, but also showed an unambiguous gesture to the referees. Alexander drew an image of the screen in the air, repeating the well-known judicial gesture, and then depicted a headbutt.

— My goal celebration? Yes, I drew a VAR monitor in the air and “smashed” it with my head. Just two goals, count, did not count. Such a joy, – the footballer shared his emotions after the match.

The Spartak forward risked immediately being punished for such insolence – even a simple “drawing” of the screen for football players can be punishable. Here it came to virtual vandalism, but Alexander was lucky – it seems that the judges did not notice the provocation.

It is quite possible, however, that sanctions against the player will be applied after the fact. For example, John Cordoba got into a similar situation earlier: the Krasnodar player swore at the judges on the way to the locker room, and this episode was captured by one of the journalists. When the recording got into the media, the judges had to pay attention to it and translate the words of the Colombian from Spanish. They were not too polite, so the player eventually got disqualified.

Sobolev was not rude to the referees, but expressed disrespect for the work of the judges and VAR in a non-verbal way. In the end, is such a headbutt, albeit “drawn”, is it not a gesture of aggression? Referees usually don’t forgive such things, so it’s too early to put an end to this story.
