Krasnodar punished Rostov in 9 seconds. The fastest goal in RPL history! Video

Olusegun demoralized the opponent and entered his name in the history of Russian football.

Nigerian Olakunle Olusegun recently played in an amateur team from Gelendzhik, a year ago he mastered in the FNL, in the spring, only by chance, he ended up in the first team of Krasnodar. Now it is an important part of the bulls’ attack, and along the way makes history in Russian football. The striker immediately punished Rostov for a mistake, spending only 9 seconds on the fastest goal in the history of the RPL.

Commentators did not even have time to name the composition.

Went down in history

In the central match of the Sunday program of the 12th round of the Russian Championship, Rostov hosted Krasnodar. “Southern Derby” often pleases fans with a sparkling game with an unpredictable result, football fans expected something unusual from the meeting of neighbors this time. But probably few people imagined that the teams were worthy of such a fiery start.

While some spectators sat in the stands, viewers sat in front of the TV screens, and commentators ran through the teams, history was being made on the field – the fastest goal of the season in the RPL was scored. Only 9 seconds were needed for Krasnodar striker Olakunle Olusegun to send the ball into the goal of the Rostovites.

The Nigerian took advantage of an opponent’s blunder. Rostov players decided to slowly play the ball in the middle of the field, not suspecting that one of the Krasnodar players was mentally preparing to punish the opponent with lightning speed for being relaxed. It turned out that one of the opponents allegedly knew about the impending oversight – this hero of the episode turned out to be the Nigerian Olusegun. Having intercepted the ball, carelessly sent to partner Daniil Glebov, he rushed faster than the wind towards the goal of Sergei Pesyakov.

Danila Prokhin had little chance to prevent the inevitable, but the Bulls forward did not wait for his opponent to move closer and hurried to deliver a powerful blow from outside the penalty area. In theory, the African could have missed, and Pesyakov, probably, in certain situations, had the opportunity to perform a miracle at the last frontier. However, “Rostov” was unlucky – Olusegun hit accurately, and the goalkeeper of the Rostov team failed to help out, hitting the ball only with his fingertips.

Gross mistake of the Rostov players not only allowed the Nigerian legionnaire of Krasnodar to go down in history, but also confused all the cards for the coaching staff of Valery Karpin. It is unlikely that the coach of the “yellow-blue” planned to start the game with a score of 0:1. Before the break, the situation for the Rostovites only worsened – the demoralized opponent missed another goal from John Cordoba.

INFANTINO: “If there was no FIFA, there would be no football in 150 countries of the world”

FIFA President Gianni Infantino He commented on World Cup ticket prices, saying they reflected “absolutely insane” demand for next summer’s tournament:

“We have six to seven million tickets and in 15 days we received 150 million ticket requests. So every day we have 10 million requests. This shows how strong the World Cup is.”

FIFA has sold just 44 million tickets in almost 100 years of the World Cup. So we were able to sell tickets for the 300th anniversary of the World Cup in two weeks. Just imagine. “This is absolutely crazy.”

Infantino also noted that funds from ticket sales would be reinvested into world football, but did not specify a specific amount:

“The important thing is that the revenue from this goes back into football around the world. If it weren’t for FIFA, there would be no football in 150 countries of the world. Football exists thanks to the revenues we get from the World Cup, and we reinvest that into football around the world.”

Previously, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called on FIFA to further reduce 2026 World Cup ticket prices.
