According to British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, the owners of Manchester United, the Glazer family, do not want to sell the Premier League club.
Ratcliffe, who owns the chemical company Ineos, was interested in buying the club.
Manchester United is owned by the Glazer family, whom I know. They are real gentlemen and they don’t want to sell United. If the club were up for sale in the summer, yes, we would probably try to buy it, but we cannot sit back and hope that one day Manchester United will become available, Ratcliffe told the Financial Times conference.
Earlier it was reported that the Glazers may be ready to consider selling United after protests from the club’s fans over the team’s position under the club’s current management.
