Former footballer of Rubin and Spartak can head Verona – media
Former defender of Rubin Kazan and Spartak Moscow Salvatore Bocchetti claims to be the head coach of Verona, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
According to the source, the 35-year-old specialist is close to leading the Italian championship team. However, his appointment may be difficult due to Bocchetti’s lack of the required UEFA Pro coaching license.
Since June, Bocchetti has been coaching the Verona youth team.
On Tuesday, Verona sacked head coach Gabriele Cioffi, who has led the team since July. Under his leadership, the Yellow-Blues scored five points in nine rounds of Serie A.
