Pires: “Messi is one of the best players in the world, but he’s a man”

Former French footballer Roberto Pires sharply he spoke of the attacker PSG Lionel Messi.

Messi is one of the best footballers in the world, it’s hard to put into words. But he is human. His last season in France proved that he too needs adaptation. When you change a country, you meet a new language, you learn a new game model, you have to get used to it, you know?

The media and fans thought that something had happened to Messi, he was no longer the same. This is fine. He now he knows how to perform in France and he understands that there is a lot of struggle in this league, there is a difficult football. He is doing great in Ligue 1 and Champions League. His playing is stimulating again. I already understood that he needed time to adapt, but not everyone noticed.
