Real Madrid striker Benzema wins Ballon d’Or

Real Madrid and France forward Karim Benzema has won the Ballon d’Or for the first time in his career, France Football’s best player of the season award.
In the 2021/22 season, Benzema won the Spanish Championship, the Spanish Super Cup and the Champions League, becoming the top scorer of the tournament with 15 goals. In total, the 34-year-old Frenchman scored 44 goals in 46 meetings last season.
The striker has been playing for Real Madrid since 2009, he previously defended the colors of the French Lyon.
