The Expert Referee Commission (ESC) under the President of the RFU recognized the decision of the chief arbiter of the match of the 13th round of the WORLD RPL CSKA – Spartak (2: 2) Sergey Karasev not to remove CSKA player Nikita Ermakov as erroneous.
In total, the commission considered four episodes of this match.
According to the conclusion of the commission, the chief referee of the match did not correctly assign a 11-meter kick to the goal of the CSKA team in the 29th minute of the match.
– The decision of the ESC was motivated by the fact that the single combat of the attacking player of the Spartak team No. 7 Alexander Sobolev with the player of the defending team of CSKA No. 19 Bakhtiyor Zainutdinov, according to all members of the commission, did not go beyond the limits that the referee allowed the players to lead during the match, so how an attacker, having felt a slight contact from an opponent on his back, leaned forward and fell on the lawn in an unnatural way, stopping his movement towards the ball, exaggerating the consequences of this contact. For these reasons, the commission supports the decision of the referee to continue the game in this game situation, the statement said.
Also, Karasev did not correctly issue a second warning in the match and did not send off CSKA player Roberto Moises in the 43rd minute of the match, did not correctly issue a second warning in the match and did not send off CSKA player Willian from the field in the 61st and 78th minutes match.
However, the commission admitted that Karasev mistakenly did not remove Ermakov from the field in the 81st minute of the match.
– The decision of the ESC is motivated by the fact that the actions of this player in the duel for the ball with the player of the Spartak team No. 25 Danila Prutsev in this borderline episode, according to the majority of the commission members, threatened the opponent’s safety, because after touching the ball casually by this player, he, continuing to move the leg in the direction of the opponent, made contact with open spikes in the area above the ankle. Taking into account that there was a punching of the opponent’s supporting leg, the majority of the commission believes that the CSKA player’s actions involved the use of excessive force, and therefore, the referee had to remove him from the field for a serious violation of the rules. VAR should have invited a judge to the monitor to review this incident, the statement added.
