The head coach of the Kyrgyz national team, Alexander Krestinin, told Metaratings.ru that he was not surprised by the level of the Russian national team led by Valery Karpin in a friendly match held in September.
The friendly match Kyrgyzstan – Russia took place on September 24 and ended with the victory of the Russian team with a score of 2: 1.
— Did you manage to talk with Karpin or with someone else from the coaching staff when the national team came to Bishkek?
No, we didn’t have time. Georgic has his own team, I have mine. It’s not easy for two coaches to meet and talk about everything.
– Did Karpin surprise you with something in the national team game?
– I understood that this is a qualified coach. He did not surprise me, I knew that the team would show a high level with him. This is from the category that Karpin, Berdyev or Klopp cannot surprise me with anything. On the one hand, these are not the same number of specialists, but, on the other hand, they show understandable and dominant football at their levels. Karpin does not surprise, but sets benchmarks to which one must strive.
