The ex-CSKA player thinks that coach Fedotov will receive both a disqualification and a fine, but there is nothing to punish Abaskal for

Former CSKA defender Vladimir Ponomarev believes that the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (FTC RFU) will disqualify army chief coach Vladimir Fedotov for a skirmish with Spartak coach Guillermo Abascal.

We are talking about the incident at the derby as part of the 13th round of the MIR RPL. The clubs met on Sunday and drew 2:2. After the game, a video appeared showing a verbal skirmish between Fedotov and Abaskal on the edge of the field during a break in the match. The head of the FTC RFU Artur Grigoryants told Match TV that both coaches were invited to a meeting of the FTC following the results of this game, their behavior will be considered. According to article 94 of part 6 of the disciplinary regulations of the RFU, the perpetrator of offensive behavior may be disqualified for a period of two to four matches, and the FTC may impose a fine on the coach in the amount of 50 thousand rubles.

– They can, of course, disqualify Fedotov for a couple of games. What does Abascal have to do with it? Well, he jumped, waved his arms, but did not insult Fedotov. Abaskal, I think, everything will work out, and Fedotov, I repeat, can be disqualified for a couple of matches. And I think there will be a penalty. You shouldn’t have reacted so harshly. It was not a very good act on his part,” Ponomarev told Match TV.

Bulykin named the position that Spartak needs to strengthen

Former Russian national football player Dmitry Bulykin expressed his opinion on how Spartak could strengthen during the winter window.

What kind of player does Spartak need in the winter transfer window? First of all, another goalscoring striker. They are already in a good position and can fight for the championship, but due to the atmosphere in the team there were disagreements.

Now we need a good coach who unites them with a single goal and task. If I were in Spartak, I would find another goalscoring striker in the winter and fight for the championship.

Amorim explains Casemiro’s surprise substitution against Newcastle

Mentor Manchester United Reuben Amorim he said he replaced the midfielder Casemiro during the 1–0 win over Newcastle United because he felt the Brazilian would “struggle” with the intensity of the second half.

Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte formed United’s midfield duo in the absence of Bruno Fernandes, who missed the match with a hamstring injury, but Amorim replaced the Brazilian with Leni Yoro in the 61st minute.

After seeing his number on the substitution board, Casemiro pointed to himself and was disappointed with Amorim’s decision to replace him so early in the match.

Asked to explain Casemiro’s substitution, Amorim replied: “At that moment I didn’t want to shoot [Матеуса] Cunho because he is the only one who allows us to be creative and I put him in position number 10. Jack [Флетчер] it was fresh and could continue, Manu [Угарте] he was cooler than Casemiro. In the end we decided to replace him because they were making a lot of quick passes and I felt that at that point he would have difficulty.”
