Ronaldo is in big trouble ahead of the World Cup. The coach is holding the legend hostage

The Portuguese once again opposed his position at Manchester United.

After an unexpected and at the same time confident victory over Tottenham, Manchester United’s unbeaten streak has already reached 5 matches. Eric ten Hag’s team has risen to the top 5 of the English championship, but the main star of the team, Cristiano Ronaldo, oddly enough, has almost nothing to do with these successes.

The famous Portuguese continues to heat the shop, being actually held hostage by the coach. At the very end of the match against the Spurs, the striker defiantly went into the under-tribune room, and then completely left the stadium without waiting for teammates in the locker room.

The head coach has already promised to sort it out!

Ronaldo doesn’t care about the team?

The 37-year-old Portuguese spent the entire game with Tottenham on the bench – this happened to Ronaldo for the second time this season. Ten Hag decided not to let the player on the field, although he had two more substitutions. The striker did not appreciate the choice of the coach: in the 90th minute of the game, Cristiano defiantly went under the stands, and then completely left the stadium without waiting for his teammates. According to The Athletic, this behavior of the Portuguese did not cause much emotion among the Manchester United players – they were all happy to celebrate the victory over Tottenham.

Before that, Ronaldo left in English, without waiting for the final whistle, only in a friendly match in August against Rayo Vallecano. Then ten Hag criticized the behavior of the Portuguese, calling it “unacceptable.” Now the Dutch specialist was less categorical, promising to simply deal with the situation. Most fans and football experts expectedly criticized Cristiano, but there is another opinion:

– All people are different. I want to focus on how United played and it’s not to protect Cristiano. We don’t know, maybe he told ten Hag that he would go to the locker room, and now everyone is trying to make a scandal out of this … I don’t want to look for excuses for him. We need to stop talking about Cristiano every day,” said former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra in an interview with Amazon Prime.

Which exit?

The situation in which the legendary striker is marinated on the bench does not suit not only Ronaldo, but also many Portuguese fans. It is believed that the striker deliberately missed Manchester United’s pre-season training in the summer in order to gain maximum condition just before the World Cup in Qatar, which starts on November 20.

However, it is unlikely that Cristiano expected that the new team coach would turn a blind eye to his status and prefer to build a game without an age forward. There are only 6 games left on the Man United calendar before the World Cup. This season, the Portuguese spends an average of only 57 minutes on the field, and 42.5 in the Premier League. Cristiano did not expect this before one of the most important tournaments in his career.

What to do? If rumors are to be believed, Ronaldo was already trying to turn things around over the summer by asking his agent to find him a new club. But his efforts were not successful. As a result, Cristiano was captured by the Dutch specialist: the attacker can neither escape nor show himself properly. Now the Portuguese can only surrender to the will of Erik ten Hag, and then try to shock the last World Cup in his career.

The fact that Cristiano will stay at Manchester United in the summer of 2023 is unbelievable from the word “absolutely”. The next stage in his career may be a return to his native Sporting, followed by a farewell to professional sports. Now the striker is definitely betting on the 2022 World Cup, wanting to put a beautiful point in Qatar. Let’s see how the problems at United will affect CriRo’s plans.

Secrets of the Real Madrid dressing room: Kroos told how he got along with Vinicius

Former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos He talked about his interaction with Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior and other representatives of Brazil within the scope of the “royal club”.

“The Brazilians aroused my sympathy even as a child. While playing for Real Madrid, I developed excellent relationships with Vinicius, Casemiro and Militao.

It is very easy to find a common language with these guys: they know how to enjoy life, and their mentality is significantly different from that of the Germans.

Casemiro and Vinicius and I understood each other perfectly on the field and developed a unique football bond with Vini.

We communicated warmly in daily life. I believe that if there is no contact between players off the field, it is extremely difficult to achieve harmony in the game.

I used Vini’s high-speed bursts effectively and he masterfully directed my passes,” AS Kroos reports.

Let’s remember that Kroos defended the jersey of Real Madrid from 2014 to 2024. During this decade the German midfielder won the Champions League five times.
