“The punishment of Fedotov and Abaskal has a symbolic meaning for other RPL coaches” – Valery Gladilin

Former Spartak player Valery Gladilin told RB Sport that the decision of the FTC RFU to disqualify the head coach of the Red-Whites Guillermo Abascal and CSKA coach Vladimir Fedotov is indicative for other specialists in the league.

After the match of the 13th round of the WORLD RPL between the teams (2: 2), a video appeared with a verbal skirmish between the head coaches on the edge of the field during the break.

On Thursday, at a meeting of the RFU FTC, Abaskal was disqualified for one match and fined 50 thousand rubles, Fedotov was also disqualified for one match and fined 50 thousand rubles, in addition, he was suspended for one match conditionally.

– This is done for educational purposes. This behavior of coaches has happened before and will continue to happen in the future. Coaches often get overexcited in these matches. The FTC decided to show that such actions do not need to be done. This is a purely symbolic punishment, they could have simply been fined, but they decided to show other RPL coaches that this is not necessary, ”Gladilin said.
